About Vet Ready First Aid Kits
Vet Ready was founded by Dr. Lindsay Crowley and her husband, Jason. They own and operate a mixed animal veterinary practice in a remote area of California. The idea of Vet Ready was born after treating some serious wounds on a horse in the area. The wounds were such that the horse required bandage changes for months. Because of this, the client wanted to perform the bandaging on their own. It was difficult to gather all of the necessary components for a proper bandage, and the client needed instruction on the proper technique. The idea was to pre-package all of the components needed for a proper bandage with detailed instructions.
Why Vet Ready is Different
Vet Ready was founded on a different principal than other veterinary first aid products. The Vet Ready first aid kits are not packed with tools and supplies you may never need or want. Through her experience as a mobile mixed animal veterinarian and avid equestrian, Dr. Crowley and her team have fine tuned the Vet Ready kits to include only those items that a typical animal owner would feel comfortable using, and are designed to help the animal until your veterinarian arrives. Vet Ready kits aren’t sold as veterinarian replacements. They are meant to augment your ability to assist your animal in an emergency until professional help arrives.
Quality of Components
Vet Ready kits are different from most because they include only the highest quality tools and supplies. The supplies are sourced from the same veterinary supplier Dr. Crowley uses to keep her veterinary truck stocked. Nothing is cheap or knock-off. Many of the components are from US based companies, and all of them meet the highest standards of veterinary professionals.
Instructions and How-Tos
Vet Ready kits all come with detailed instructions that cover most veterinary first aid topics. Those instructions are detailed and categorized for easy reading during an emergency. We know most people don’t have time to flip through thousands of pages, and we created our how-to guides with simplicity in mind.
Proudly American
Based in a small Southern California town, all our kits are assembled in the U.S. using local suppliers and U.S. based products where possible. We hire local talent and believe in small businesses making American communities strong.
